Itinerary
Depart from Manila. Enjoy your flight amenities while on board.
Arrival in Lisbon Airport. After immigration and customs, formalities, board your coach and proceed and visit the Church of St. Anthony de Padua, built on the site where the saint was born. Across is the Lisbon Cathedral (external visit), where St. Anthony was baptized. Journey on to one of the world’s greatest Marian pilgrimage centers – Fatima. Fatima is a small village about 70 miles north of Lisbon. Arrival in Fatima and proceed to your hotel for check in and dinner. In the evening, join the Holy Rosary and Candlelight procession
in the Basilica of our Lady of Fatima. Return to your hotel overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel then proceed for a tour to Fatima. Visit the Chapel of Apparition, the Basilica where you can find the tombs of the three seers: Francisco, Jacinta, and Sister Lucia, Aljustrel – home of Francisco and Jacinta, Lucia’s house with the well where the Angel appeared a second time, Valinhos – site of Our Lady’s 4th apparition, Loca do Cabeco – where the children received the first and the third visit of the “Angel of Peace,” the Stations of the Cross composed of 14 little chapels, and the Parish Church. The rest of the day shall be free for private devotions and prayers. Spend time at the Sanctuary
in the Cova da lria. Meditate and pray at the Chapel of Apparitions, the very heart of the Sanctuary. A marble pillar marks the exact spot on which the Statue of Our Lady is placed. In the evening, join the Rosary and Candlelight procession.
Breakfast in the hotel then check-out and continue your journey to Salamanca, Spain. Photo stop at the Plaza Mayor before driving to Burgos for check-in, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel then check-out and depart for the town of Loyola, the birthplace of St. Ignatius de Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Visit the Sanctuary of Loyola where Mass will be arranged at the Chapel of Conversion. On to the town of Lourdes, where in 1858, the appearance of the mother of God to the then 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous in the remote Grotto of Massabielle can be summarized in four words that evoke and amplify the Good News of the Gospels: POVERTY, PRAYER, PENANCE and CHURCH. Check
in at your hotel followed by dinner. After dinner, catch the evening Rosary and Candlelight procession.
Breakfast in the hotel. Celebrate mass at one of the chapels in the Sanctuary. The rest of the day is free for private individual activities. Take time to explore the three superimposed churches built over the Grotto of Apparition, the Basilica of Immaculate Conception (Upper Basilica), the Crypt, and the Rosary Basilica. Spend time meditating and praying the Holy Rosary at the Grotto of Massabielle, the spot where Our Lady appeared to Bernadette and identified herself as, “I am the Immaculate Conception,” The Sanctuaries and pools are always open and religious ceremonies are held every day: Masses, Adoration
of the Blessed Sacrament, Stations of the Cross, Blessed Sacrament Procession, and the Blessing of the Sick. Join the evening Rosary and Candlelight procession.
Breakfast in the hotel and Celebrate Mass in one of the chapels in the Lourdes Sanctuary. Then, return to your hotel for check out. Drive along the harbor of the French Riviera to the City of Nice, often called as the “Queen of Riviera.”
Check-in, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel then check out of your hotel after breakfast. Mass in one of the Catholic churches in Nice. Leave France for Italy driving through the delightful hills of the Perugia countryside to the walled city of Assisi, hometown of St. Francis and St. Clare. Check in at your hotel for your accommodation followed by dinner.
Breakfast in the hotel then this morning proceeds to the Basilica of Sta. Maria
degli Angeli, where St. Francis spent most of his life. Celebrate the Holy Mass
followed by a guided tour of the Basilica. See the Porziuncola, the rose bush,
and the cave where the Saint prayed. Then, on to visit the Church of St. Clare
who founded the Order of Poor Clares and followed the teachings of St.
Francis by living a life of poverty and humility. See the saint’s incorrupt body
in the Crypt. Walk across the Old Town of Chiesa Nuova, built over the home
of St. Francis’ family and the Cathedral of San Rufino with the baptismal font
of St. Francis and St. Clare can be seen. Stop at the nearby Church of Santa
Maria Maggiore (Sanctuary of the Spoliation) where you will see the incorrupt
body of Blessed Carlo Acutis. Continue your walking tour arriving at the 13th century Basilica of St. Francis where you can see many of the Saint’s
possessions and a series of frescoes depicting his life. Visit the Upper and
Lower Church. Spend some free time walking the streets of this medieval
town and absorb the spirit of Saints Francis and Clare, and ponder their deep
commitment to the poor of their world.
Check out and head south to Loreto. The most treasured and venerated Shrine of our Lady throughout the world is that of the Holy House of Nazareth in the Basilica. And rightly so, for according to tradition, testimonies of Popes and Saints that this is where the “recreation,” our redemption began. Enroute, stop in Lanciano and visit the Church of St. Legontian where a Eucharistic Miracle took place during the 8th century A.D. Continue your pilgrimage to San Giovanni Rotondo, home of St. Padre Pio. Check in at your hotel for accommodation followed by dinner at the hotel.
Meet your local guide for a walking tour. Visit the Church of Santa Maria
della Grazie where you can find the small chapel where Padre Pio said mass,
his cell which still contains books and clothing that belonged to him, and the
Sala San Francisco where he greeted the faithful. Then, visit the new Church
of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church) which now houses
the new crypt with the exposed body of St. Padre Pio. The rest of the day is
free for private individual activities. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Breakfast and check out. Depart for the Eternal City of Rome . Photo stops at Colosseum, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Check in at your hotel for accommodation. The rest of the day is free. Dinner at the hotel.
Enjoy a morning tour of Rome’s basilicas and churches. Begin with a visit to
the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome, and the mother of All
Churches, dedicated to Our Savior, and to Sts. John the Baptist and John the
Evangelist. Opposite the Basilica is the Scala Santa (Holy Stairs) where you
can find 28 marble stairs carefully preserved and which by tradition were
the steps walked by Christ on his way to trial before Pontius Pilate. Visit the
Basilica of Sta. Maria Maggiore, Patriarchal Basilica dedicated to the Blessed
Virgin Mary and famous for its mosaics dating back as far as the 5th century
and for the holy relics of the crib. Walk to the church of St. Alphonsus which
houses the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Then proceed to the Basilica
of St. Paul outside the Walls, built over the burial place of the Apostles of the
Gentiles and consecrated in 324. Visit the OUTLET MALL in Rome for
Shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Then, drive to the Vatican City to visit the Vatican
Museum and Sistine Chapel. Walk over to the Vatican then, visit the Basilica
of St. Peter built over the tomb of the apostle. Here, you can find the Pieta by
Michaelangelo and the tomb of St. Pope John Paul II. Transfer to the airport
for the flight back home.
